TONYS SHORTBREAD
1 ¾ CUPS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
¾ CUP CORNSTARCH
½ CUP SUGAR
1 CUP (2 STICKS) BUTTER, MELTED
Heat oven to 325’. Place flour, cornstarch and ½ cup of sugar in work
bowl. Process just to combine. Melt butter in 2 cup glass measure in
microwave, A3. With motor running, pour melted butter through feed tube
and continue processing until dough holds together.
Press dough evenly into an ungreased 9” square baking pan. Bake in 325’
oven until golden (about 45 mins). While hot, sprinkle lightly with
additional sugar, then cut into 8 pieces. Let cool on rack. Lift cookies
from pan with spatula. Store airtight for up to 3 days.
